For teachers

Make a class, give students its code, set them work and see who has done it. A class and its code are free.

Free class codes

Any account aged 18 or over with a confirmed email address can make a class. There is nothing to apply for and nothing to pay. Each class has an 8-character code, and a link that fills the code in for a student. A class holds up to 60 students, and one account can run up to 20 classes.

What you see

  • Each student’s first name, and the day they joined.
  • The work you set, a flashcard deck, a past paper from the index or a task, and who has done it and who has not, by first name. A deck is done when the student has reviewed every card; a paper when they have logged it.
  • A class report for the last 12 weeks: hours of study logged, papers sat and cards reviewed across the class, and for each past paper from the index the class sat, how many sat it and their mean percentage.

What you never see

Notes, flashcard text, anything a student asked asterisk ai, the names of papers a student added themselves, their surnames or email addresses. A class has no messages.

How students join

A student opens Classes in the app and types the code, or opens the class link. Joining needs an account; anything already on the student’s device moves into it.
